MAY YOU REST IN PEACE!!

Why didn’t my favorite magazine last??? Never mind the auto industry-I want my Cottage Living Magazine back—December was their last issue, I am very sad…

They have been publishing for 4 years, and I have saved every issue, refer to them often, as I do with other favorites of mine like Coastal Living and several cooking magazines. I have Bon Appetit's from the mid 90s up in my kitchen cupboard.

This little magazine embodied everything that I would like my home to be. Years ago I took an Interior Design class at the local college, and I did a paper on my dream home...I wrote " it would be a rambling cottage close to the sea….Yes, I live close to the sea, but I live in a nice track home(see above) , but I want to live in a Nantucket cottage or an old home on Martha’s Vineyard! Well not in this economy!!

I digress..will anyone else miss this wonderful magazine? Is it one of your monthly reads?

Let’s bail out Cottage Living!!!

Hi Linda Lou....I almost signed up for another year along with a few gift subcriptions....I kinda feel bad now because it's cheap people like me that put's companies out of buisness....Yes, I too loved the magazine...I will really be upset if Country Living goes belly up....Sue.

Oh no! I hate to see that great magazine die too. As you know, I love magazines and the good decorating ones are not as plentiful as they once were. I like your house and you can always decorate it like you want. I'd love to see more of it, hint. Have a great weekend! Twyla

YES!! You are on to something...like the auto industry maybe the go should bail them out...I think it could be done with a mere 25 million. Hee.

I loved that mag too, one of the better done ones in my humble opinion!

(awww, and my verification word below is STING...yes, it does :(

I'm pretty p.o.'d about the whole thing myself. :-) I was flipping through Cottage Livings on Thanksgiving sighing and wimpering and my mom was like, "um...honey...I think you need to get a grip." They're also killing the web site, so now there won't be any access to the archives, either. Sigh....

OH NO! I get this magazine and I didn't hear about this! I wonder what they will do to fullfill our subscription? I hear Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion magazine might fold too -- it's so sad.

Hugs, Pat
